Mission
AZUR Development is a women’s organization which started activities in early 2003 in the Republic of Congo on the initiative of a group of young women motivated to improve the status of women and children. AZUR Development has since extended its activities in the country with regional actions initiated in Francophone Africa. We have offices in Brazzaville, Nkayi, Sibiti and Pointe-Noire.

Our initiatives in the Congo:
o Information and communication technologies and young women leadership: building capacities of young women leaders, women's and mixed organizations, projects and initiatives on ICTs for development, research and advocacy on ICT policy, initiative to end violence against women using ICTs, networking and support to the telecentres.
o The right to healthcare for women and vulnerable populations: HIV prevention, access to AIDS treatment, advocacy on the rights of women living with HIV and their families, mobilization and advocacy on malaria, research and advocacy on the right to healthcare.
o The right of indigenous women and their families: promoting awareness on their rights, HIV prevention, access to treatment for HIV-positive indigenous women, education on environmental and socio-economic empowerment, small scholarships fund for indigenous in schools .

Our regional initiatives in Africa:
o Right to healthcare: advocacy, promoting the rights of people living with HIV, especially those of women, research and advocacy on sexual and reproductive rights, mobilizing civil society in the fight against malaria and advocacy.
o Support to networking on HIV / AIDS and malaria through the Réseau Sida Afrique network, online discussions, analysis papers and capacity building.
